It's easy. Click on "Messages," then on "Post a Message." You may have to "join" this group first, but that's easy (and has no lasting consequences; that is, you WON'T be spammed forever afterwards in your Inbox by advertisers who just got your e-addy from joining this group)!!
I'd like to continue, now, on just what else you can do from high atop the Matteson Bridge overlooking I-57. Like, you can go west.
Yes! And soon you'll come to Central Ave. (it's a T-intersection) which runs north and south. If you go south long enough, you'll eventually run right
into the Old Plank Road Trail, as already mentioned. If you go north, you'll be boogeying along Central (which doesn't usually have too much traffic; heck, visiting Kenyans used to run up and down that road in prepping for the Chicago Marathon--maybe they still do!?) and you can go all the way up to just past 167th Street to what's called "Yankee Woods." That's the Forest Preserve entrance on your left, just before the George Dunn Golf Course. Once in that Forest Preserve, you can then run bike paths all the way north, eventually, to what's called "Lake Katherine"--just north of Rt. 83 or 127th St. or College Ave. (same street). From there, you *could* swim (but it's really just a big pond) OR go east a ways to Harlem Ave. and take that north, heck, all the way to the north side of Chicago!
But of course there'll be traffic, so...
...maybe you'd really rather stick around here, run the local paths and, in just a few more days, The (first-ever!) Great 8k, eh?
See you there!!
