Distance: 5K, 10K, 20K, 50K. All distances are optional. This is a “fun” run for the 2023 year with no awards or timing. Walkers are welcome as are on leash dogs as permitted by state park rules.
Course: The run begins in the main parking lot at the North Shelter. It is a 10K looped course for the 10, 20, and 50K distances. The 5k is out and back. The course is semi-hilly, with mostly wide trail in woods and prairie, with some gravel bike path sections. All distances pass Corey’s memorial Burr Oak tree.
Aid Stations: The North Shelter station will have water, gels, heed, soda, and typical race food items.
T-shirts: registered individuals will receive a long-sleeve tech tee, male or female cut.
Cost: The run is sponsored by Corey and Rachel’s Foundation, the Wyldfire Foundation. A suggested donation of $25 can be made in support. All net proceeds this year will go to the Kettle Moraine State Forest Alliance and are fully tax deductible. Checks can be made out to Kettle Moraine State Forest Alliance and mailed to Wyldfire Foundation ℅ Rachel Monaco, N136W21861 Bonniwell Road, Richfield, WI 53076. Event day donations will be accepted.
1:00 PM. Post-run gathering at North Shelter: please bring a dish/snack to pass and your beverage of choice to enjoy with others as people complete their chosen distance.
Registration deadline for shirt guarantee is Sunday April 9th, on-line registration closes April 21st.
