Description:
Bong State Recreation Area is the home of the Meraki Trail Adventure and Dirty Dog Dare for 2022!

The 4 mile trail loop has some rolling hills, very scenic and is mostly double wide trails that traverse around Wolf Lake.

Distances for this event; 3.5, 7, 10.5 or 14 miles. There also is a 14-mile 2-3 or 4 person relay option. The relay option could be the perfect solution for running partners with children to alternate running and watching the little ones!

This event is part of the 2021-22 CaniCross as well.

Runners/Walkers/Hobblers you are welcome to enter the 3.5 or 7-mile events with or without a dog and 10.5 and 14-mile options are for runners only with or without a dog.

The CaniCross event will start at 10:20am and Run/Walk/Hobble Trail event will start at 10:30.


The weather forecast is calling for a beautiful early Spring Day! Be ready for some fun on and off the trails. We will have hot food, drinks and interesting social time once you are finished. You are invited to bring a treat to share.

Online signup will conclude at 10am on Friday, April 8th.

Packet Pickup & Same Day Sign will start at 9:00am Saturday morning. You can also pick up your packet on Friday, from 11:30am - 5pm at Kenosha Running Company, 1706 - 22nd Ave., Kenosha, WI 53140.

This event is perfect for all fitness levels and is dog-friendly for those not interested in participating in the CaniCross event. Please note that this event is welcoming to all levels of CaniCross athletes and special equipment is not required.
